Try www.bbc.co.uk/news and look for the Country links, they have all sorts of information about hundreds of countries, including that kind of info.

Working in a grocery store, you would probably be making about DKK110/hour but you need to be able to speak Danish to get jobs in a shop. If you can't speak Danish, you are pretty much limited to cleaning hotel rooms or delivering newspapers. Your minimum tax rate is about 40% Housing depends if you want to live on your own or share a place. If you want to live right in town our outside. In Central Copenhagen, you'd be lucky to find a one-bedroom place in a nice area for DKK7.000/month, though most people I know pay around DKK10.000 unless they've lived there for years. You can find shares for DKK 3500-4500/month.

My advice would depend on how old you are firstly, and if you are 15 http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=ApYSuCUhVXdkkoMf25TgnAXty6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20100808071446AAfGylN then the answer is a bit more clear cut At 15 you are not legally able to live away from your parents without parental consent You don't say what you are worried about in moving back to Aberdeen? I can understand it completely if you have a nice group of friends and social life in Copenhagen and it is daunting to think of leaving all that behind, but try to look on the positive side of things. It's easy to keep in contact with friends abroad nowadays, and you'll get the chance to make a new bunch of friends At the end of the day I'm sure your parents are doing what they think is best for you all as a family unit, and in these uncertain times the draw of job security,. family ties etc is quite a big one. At 15 you would not be able to work legally to fund your stay on your own in Copenhagen plus without parental consent you wouldn't be able to stay anyway, and without family living in Copehagen with whom you could live, I can imagine that your parents would be reluctant to consider this as an option I would suggest that you sit down, make a list of all your concerns with the move and then ask your parents for a talk, and sit down and explain calmly all these concerns so that they can understand and to be able to help and support you - and utlimately to make a decision as an family with all people agreeing ideally Wishing you the best of luck

as an eu citizen you can live and work anywhere in the eu that you like
2 :
You can live and work in Denmark anyway, if you're an EU citizen. You don't need to marry him for that!
3 :
The other questions are sort of right. although Denmark is part of the EU there are many rules they choose to ignore, and unless you know your rights they will take you for a mug and try to rip you off. I was told that I needed to have at least 50,000 DDK in the bank before I would be able to have a residence permit, I refused and told them to look again as I was an EU citizen (from the UK) I got another letter saying the same thing, I then told them that I would take it to the EU court, and within two days I was told that they had made a mistake and I would not need to have that money in the bank. If you do decide to come to live here then buy a car left hand drive, and register it in your name for 6 months, then you can bring it to Denmark and not have to pay the huge amount of tax that they charge here. a ten year old car would cost about the same as a two/three year old in the UK. You will never be told what you are allowed to have, you have to find it out for yourself, even the Danes find it hard to get around the bureaucracy, (I thought Spain was bad). Once you have made your way through the mazes, then you are setup and things do get better. Good luck Mail me if you want to :) RR

As Rugr.... describes - it is a confusing maze - also for Danes. Even though you are an EU citizen, there are difficulties. It will be easier, if you marry your boyfriend (if you are 23 years old or older - if you are younger, there are still difficulties)

If you're 21+ there shouldn't be any problems. Besides, you live in an EU country, so it's easy for you.
