I now live in the UK, and have many friends that are living in Denmark. How long can i live in Denmark for while still maintaining my UK Citizenship?

On a UK passport and under EU law you can live in Denmark for an initial three months. If you want to stay longer than that you must begin employment, attend university, or be a financially self-sufficient person without needing public funds in Denmark. Hypothetically, you could stay in Denmark the rest of your life provided you continue to work, study, or have sufficient funds to support yourself. Living in Denmark or anywhere else outside the United Kingdom does not and will not affect your UK citizenship. You are a UK citizen for life unless you choose to formally renounce citizenship with the UK government. Also, if you live in Denmark for nine continuous years and decide to apply for Danish citizenship, you would be required to give up your UK citizenship. ====================== Travel & Living Abroad- Denmark http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/travel-advice-by-country/europe/denmark?ta=entryRequirements&pg=4#
