I will be living in Denmark for about 9 months and not sure How I will pay my bills?
Is there a fee to have my money automatically deposit into my account in Texas from another bank out of the country? I have four bills I have to pay in texas each month. Is it hard for an american citizen to open a account in Denmark? Trying to figure out the least inexpensive way to take care of personal business.

You set up automatic payments with those companies. You have the bank in Denmark, yes you can open an account, and wire transfer deposits to your Texas Bank. You are not the first overseas traveler

While traveling to any other nation, you must be aware that the banking laws of the other nation will prevail. Prior to travel, you can open a checking account any major bank here in the USA. You will be able to have a debit card. The account with almost any large bank will allow you to have a 'bill pay' section. When money is deposited into your checking account, you can disburse that cash via your bill pay privlidges. When I draw money out of my account (while in Europe), I have to pay a fee. When I deposit money into my USA account, I would only have to pay if I make a wire transfer. There is no charge when I mail my cash to my bank in America. If you desire, you can pay an additional amount on each bill, in advance. By carrying a credit balance, they owe you. By making the payments from overseas, the checks are still issued in the USA and mailed within this country. The extra amount, paid in advance, allows you a cushion. Many people appreaciate sitting upon something soft.
