What a coincidence, I'm a US army veteran, and I have a dream to live in Denmark. Anyway, I don't believe you have to be a US citizen to join the military, but you do have to be a resident. Which is ironic considering that it is more likely than not you will spend your time overseas anyway.

I beleive there is a way to do this, but i'm not too sure whether or not you need previous military experience. I am trying to enquire as to whether i could transfer to the US Army from the British Army although i have been in for 9years. Apparently, you can join the US Army and during the first year you are on a working visa then after the first year you receive US citizanship. hope this helps and if anyone has any other info for us feel free to post it here or get in touch.

Simple just become a US Resident or a Legal Alien and you can join the USMC.

Yes. If you want to join the USMC then you have to attain legal resident status. There are resources on the internet, that can give you info on doing this.

The Air Force will let you if you're a residence, so the Marines probably will too.
